Zaikul

Zeikul, situated on the bank of Tuiruong (Barak) river, was known to be the last stronghold of the Thaduo tribe (Kuki) during the Hmar-Thadou(Kuki) ethnic war. It is said that the Hmar tribe won a decisive victory after surrounding Jaikul/Zaikul (now in Manipur) for days.
